Editorial Photography
I was commissioned to photograph the primitive tribal people in Andhra Pradesh in the middle of India, for a charity called the Nandi Foundation who work with the tribal people to help them generate more income from their small coffee plantation plots. In addition they feed 1million children each month, build schools in the villages and provide uniforms for the children. One of the most important activities is to get sponsors for the “girl child” to educate them and keep them safe. Girls are still killed in the rural and tribal parts of India. To read more about my experiences while photographing the tribes read my blog The Gems of Araku
